Jasper Moedt

Occupational Therapist - Vancouver

Jasper is an Occupational Therapist with a passion for enabling others to engage in what is most important in their lives.  He was drawn to occupational therapy after witnessing the holistic approach the profession can provide through a nuanced assessment of physical, mental, and cognitive health. He has found through experience that the meaning in life is made through daily acts and is passionate about working with others to overcome challenges to find this meaning.

Jasper grew up in the Fraser Valley where he completed his undergraduate degree at UFV and spent a number of years playing competitive basketball. After graduating from McMaster University in 2018, he has worked in a variety of practice areas spanning from community practice to hospital settings, and within schools supporting young learners. He is an advocate from lifelong learning and growth for all.

Jasper has a wide range of practice experience and takes special interest in persistent pain, mental health, sensory processing challenges, as well as ADHD management. Jasper is an advocate for client directed care and strongly believes an effective therapeutic relationship is built on a foundation of trust and mutual understanding. He puts an emphasis on mutual understanding and a focus on returning to what the client deems to be the most important aspect of their lives.

When he is not at work, you can find him out in the mountains, hiking, canoeing, and finding quiet in the natural world. Jasper is also an avid gardener and carver who finds joy in working with his hands while making something new.
