Kieryn Murphy

Registered Massage Therapist - James Bay

Areas of Expertise:

Relaxation, pain, injury, pregnancy, TMJ, headaches, LBGTQ+

Kieryn is a Kiwi import from New Zealand and now is also a Canuck, so a Caniwi perhaps? She graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy here in Victoria. Kieryn has always had a passion for connecting with and helping people, which drew her to the massage therapy profession.

One of Kieryn’s strongest attributes as a practitioner, gained from all of her work, life and travel experience, is to be able to connect and relate to a wide range of diverse people. Kieryn is an enormous advocate for the therapeutic relationship between therapist and patient, and understands that interpersonal contact, trust and communication is vital to the healing process. With this in mind and guided by her extensive knowledge in massage therapy, she lets patients manage their treatment needs. Kieryn is a passionate believer in the mental/physical health interconnection and incorporates mind/body connection into her treatments, which includes nervous system relaxation and mindfulness.

Kieryn enjoys treating all conditions whether chronic pain or illness, athletic or accident injury, post-surgery, pregnancy, stress/anxiety or depression. Her main modalities include, but not limited to, are Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release and myofascial release.

When Kieryn isn’t in clinic she is an artist, either in front of a canvas or behind her camera. She also loves the outdoors and maintains her fitness through hiking, running and weight training.

Kieryn looks forward to travelling with you on the road to wellness.

Kieryn is both an expert on bio-mechanics and an intuitive, ego-free practitioner. I rely on her for faster recovery from sports injuries and training, so I can get back to being active without pain quicker.
