Misha Waite, Registered Clinical Counsellor (#2701) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Vancouver, BC, and a Certificate in Bodywork & Massage Therapy from the Vancouver school of Bodywork & Massage. Over the course of her practice, she has immersed herself in understanding the wisdom of the body, mind, and spirit.


Misha’s personal and academic experiences have guided her passion for helping individuals understand their place in society, the choices they make, and the goals to which they aspire. She believes we are dealt many challenges in life that often force us to re-examine our choices and make room for change. She guides individuals to attain a lifestyle that is based on mindful self-awareness and an ability to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle under any circumstance or challenge. Misha’s clinical experience is founded on evidence-based practice. Her key focus is to establish a therapeutic alliance with individuals based on trust, respect, unconditional acceptance and understanding. She believes in guiding, supporting and empowering her clients to lead healthier lives by following their intrinsic motivation toward personal growth, change, and connection. She also aims to foster an internal awareness in her clients that enhances their intrinsic abilities to lead lives of self-worth, dignity and stability.

Misha works with youth, adults, couples, and families. She approaches her clients as unique individuals and incorporates a holistic and trauma-informed perspective. Her theoretical orientation blends several therapies, including: cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, body-centred therapy, motivational interviewing, brief dialectical behaviour therapy, and client-centred approaches. She sees people for a range of issues, including mental health, stress/anxiety, chronic pain, depression, anger management, life transitions, aggression, women's & men’s issues, grief/loss, and complex trauma/PTSD.

When Misha is not alongside her clients she enjoys the beauty of British Columbia, spending time with friends and family or reminding herself an imperfect life is a life well lived. Misha is excited to be a part of the team at Tall Tree and looking forward to sit alongside you.
