Rachel Watson

Speech Language Pathologist - James Bay

Areas of Expertise:

Communication, neurodiversity, articulation, kids, early childhood

Program: Pediatrics

Rachel (she/her) first discovered Speech-Language Pathology while watching the hit teen TV show Switched at Birth, and while she did not quite know what it would mean to be a Speech- Language Pathologist, she was intrigued. This led Rachel to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Victoria. It was here that Rachel developed a deep appreciation for language and how it connects us all. As Rachel’s undergraduate degree came to a close, she followed the path she’s paved four years previously and applied to graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology.

Rachel was ecstatic to have the opportunity to pursue her graduate degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Throughout her degree, Rachel gained experience working with a wide range of individuals seeking services for their unique needs and honed her skills in client-centred care that puts function at the forefront. Her treatment style is grounded in forming partnerships with clients and their families to foster a comfortable and supportive environment where clients can thrive in the pursuit of their goals.
