Dr. Alex Brothers MD, CCFP(EM)(SEM) is a Canadian Trained Medical Doctor with Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) and Special Competencies in Emergency Medicine (EM) and Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) from the Canadian College of Family Practice. 

He has worked for 30 years in Emergency Medicine in Canada. In addition to his Emergency Medicine Practice worked as a full scope Family Physician for 14 years. He has 25 years of Sport and Exercise Medicine. He has been the National Team Physician for the Canadian Cross Country Ski Team and the Canadian National Swim Team. In addition to his clinical practice, he was the Emergency Department Head in Banff from 2015 to 2020.  He is the current Emergency Department Head for the Saanich Peninsula Hospital and the Chief of Staff.
